Jaipur, also known as the Pink City, is the capital of Rajasthan, India. Historically rendered as Jeypore, Jaipur is the former capital of the princely state of Jaipur. It was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, the ruler of Amber, and was one of the very well planned cities in India. Jaipur is one of the most visited tourist destinations in India.
