Late Shri M. S. Surana, after completing his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with Industrial Management as minor from University of Illinois. U.S.A. 1961. joined Westinghouse Electric Corpn. Pittsburgh, USA. Shri M.S. Surana later joined Hindalco Industries Limited in 1962.

He was overall incharge of the manufacturing facility at Renukoot (UP) till 1994.

Shri M.S.Surana was the architect and the founder of Surana Power Equipments (P) Ltd. in 1978.
